Classically trained at Oberlin, and with Metropolitan Opera star Eileen Farrell, Kathy Chiavola sings Bluegrass and acoustic music as few can. She has recorded both in the foreground and background with some of the greatest acoustic artists, including Bill Monroe, Edgar Meyer, Chet Atkins, Vince Gill, Emmy Lou Harris and Linda Ronstadt. Her duet with Bill Monroe on her CD "The Harvest" is believed to be his last vocal recording.
